Sipui Tuong

Sipui Tuong talks about the piece she will exhibit in the show:
_____

"For the exhibition, i decided to put in my Memo Notes piece because i liked how it could make the spectator feel intimidated and creating such a large piece of work isn't something i'd typically do.
Inspired by Joseph Grigely, i used small pieces of memo notes and put them together to create a huge piece of work.
I wrote the notes about a year ago for the previous project and i think it's quite nice to re-read them and reflect on my 2 years in art.
They were notes that i wrote everyday about things on my mind, things i heard and conversations i had with people. Plus, they were things i wouldn't normally say outloud so they also acted like a diary which made the piece personal; allowing spectators to step inside my world and catch a glimpse of who i am. Also, because they aren't very specific, spectators aren't really sure who or what i'm on about. "

Here are the Notes stacked. Images of Notes in gallery coming soon.
