"Inspired by Erin Petson, an illustator who uses mixed media and montage to create powerful fashion illustrations, i began to create various fashion images using pecil drawings on to paper, adding detial and colour using paints glue, pens, tape etc. In my work i wanted to use a number of materials, which i would then layer up, and college together, to make finals fashion illustration images. I wanted to add a personal element to my work, therfore began to use images of friends and relatives to produce textile pieces. I followed this by creating hand drawn images of my family and friends, onto different material, such as tracing paper, assetate, tissue paper, materials that were transparent, as i wanted each drawing to show through on the final image. After producing the final layer pieces, i decieded to present them in photo frames and photo albums, as this is were familiy photographs are usually found."
